Warwick spent some time in at the Pregnancy, Babies and Children’s Expo this week working with clients.
The PBCE gets over a 1,000 exhibitors across Australia from businesses of all sizes and budgets. No matter what your budget, you can always come up with something that will get results. The secret is to stick to the KISS principle. That is, “Keep It Simple Sexy” (no-one likes to be called Stupid!)
Nothing illustrates that principle better than the booth that the Australian Multiple Birth Association has set up for the Melbourne show.
Many people would say that it is too simple. Where are the flash graphics, the pretty pictures, the pull up banners?
We think differently. We think it will get amazing results.
Consider this association, no doubt they have limited funds to spread their message of support. So they want a quick and easy way for their niche market to find out about them and approach them for more information and maybe sign up to their network. This booth will do this so well.
If you were at the show, walking along with your multiple kids or maybe with your multiple kids in care, and you saw a sign saying “Twins, Triplets, Quads”, straight away you would think “That’s Me”.
Ladies and gents, that is effective signage. If you get your target market to think “That’s Me” the game is half won.
So in this case, they have identified “that’s me” and then come over to find out more about what you have on offer. For the single birth parents and parent wannabe’s, they would barely look at the signage as it is NOT them. This has just saved you a stack of wasted time talking to someone who is not interested in your services.
What about your business and your signage?
You don’t need a ton of money you just need to know what are the key phrases that make my niche think “That’s me!”
So follow the KISS principle and you will find your next show will be your best show.
